Welcome to Chameleon Upholstery, I'm Mark Stanley, owner/director and foremost; upholsterer.
I have been in the upholstery business for over 20 years and love what I do. I started off making divan bases and headboards and continued from there.
Lisa is our Customer Service Manager and she takes care of all the administration and correspondence. She can help you to pick out fabrics and order samples for you. She also makes scatter cushions and up-cycles old furniture.
Our home and workshop is based in Merrow, Guildford but we can travel to most locations within Surrey and the surrounding areas to see customers.
We carry out all aspects of upholstery from cushions, drop in seats and dining chairs to full recovering of armchairs, sofas and antiques.
If you need just a few foam cushions made to measure, no problem. If you need an antique chair restored to former glory then why not let us revive it.
We are happy to come and see you to give a free bespoke quotation to meet your needs. We have a wide selection of pattern books from fabric companies like Morris & Co, Romo, Linwood and Sanderson which you can come and view or we can bring a selection to your home.
We also sell a huge range of fabrics, any of which can be made into cushions of any shape or size. Common cushion sizes are 30cm x 30cm (12inch x 12inch), 40cm x 40cm (16inch x 16inch), 45cm x 45cm (18inch x 18inch) and 60cm x 60cm (24inch x 24inch).
Cushions can also be made in circular form from 30cm (12inch) to 45cm (18 inch) and 60cm (24inch).
We can also make bolster or tubular cushions for chaise longues for example in 15cm x 45cm (6inch x 18inch) and larger.
We use Troy North Braids and trimmings to enhance the finish of furniture. Check out their website here.

Where are we based?
We work from our home in Old Merrow Street, Guildford.
Our workshop is a barn from the 1800's which used to be a bakery for the estate. The barn has 2 sides to it; one side is opened up into the garden, so in the summer we can work outdoors. And the other side is enclosed and can be locked up so your furniture is safe and secure.
